Figure skating Figure skating combines the grace of ballet with the strength and flexibility of gymnastics. In a competition, skaters can perform in two different styles, either the short program (which is a more technical set), or the free program (which places more emphasis on the artistic and theatrical side of the sport). Figure skating is both a fun and exciting sport that combines endurance, speed, cardio-vascular, plus much more... and all with the added fun of ice! For more information check the link below:

Broomball Broomball is a sport relatively new on the world scene. It can be described in many ways, from being a variant of ice hockey to being field hockey on ice, but the fact is that broomball is a unique and exciting sport of its own. The basics of broomball are that NO skating is required... players run around on the ice in everyday sneakers (although professional broomball shoes can be bought) as they hit a small rubber ball abound the rink with a stylized broomstick -- a long wooden or aluminium handle with a broom-shaped triangular rubber head on the end. If you are interested in this new and exciting sport, more information can be found at the Official Web site Of The North Queensland Broomball Association.
